As part of the UC San Diego Human Powered Submarine team, I serve as the Co-Lead for the Steering and HSI (Human Systems Integration) sub-team. Constructing a submarine is an enormous collaborative effort; the work I have done is only one piece of a much larger puzzle. My focus is mainly on ensuring my specific 'portion'—the mechanicanl steering system and safety systems are up to standard.

The purpose of this Youtube Channel is for Steering & HSI team members to learn practical engineering skills and principles such as CAD and engineering design. The motivation for the videos is simply because we do not have enough time to train up our new members if we limit ourselves to only our regular meeting times. Furthermore, the channel will serve as a knowledge base so that current members can refresh themselves on what they have learned and/or catch up on what they have missed just in case they cannot attend a meeting. In addition, future members and leadership can refer back to these videos as training tools and references.
